A list is just a fun thing. It s a great thing RS made this list-I would have made a different list but that s not the point. The point is that this list is another sign of Paul's legacy nowadays gets the recognition it deserves. And also great, obscure tracks like Beware my love

My Love wouldn't make my top 40.

Ram is a pretty exquisite listen, even today. It's moved ahead of Band on the Run for me. You have those two albums plus about a dozen other tracks scattered across far more than a dozen albums, you're good.

Nice to see temporary secretary squeaking on to the list, I love that song and I don't really know why! Can't disagree with the number 1 choice either, got to be one of the greatest love songs of all time. The rest of the list is pretty interchangeable though but as I always say, opinions are like a* holes....we've all got one :D

Because Kanye and Rhianna are on the track and RS can't help virtue signalling....

I waiting for some intrepid soul to wade through the list and kindly list them. RS is one of the worst websites to scroll through...

I am still baffled that "Silly Love Songs" receives any praise in 2017. At least it wasn't in their top ten.

A few daft bits but its not bad. Nice to see Ever Present Past and Fine Line mentioned as well as Calico Skies and Too Many People, all fave raves of mine. At first I read 'Too Many People' as 'How Many People' and had a brief moment of confusion. The egregious lack of Bip Bop is a bit hard to swallow but otherwise it's a nice way to turn people on to some deeper Maclassics.

Love seeing "Early Days" getting recognized on the list. "Coming Up" is on there as well, nice!

Don't trust such lists. RS people are trolling readers sometimes. So, better do your own list.^^

Maybe it's a sign that RS is running out of both material and ideas for their lists, at least I hope so.

I agree that most of his solo catalog is better than "I've Had Enough" (I too almost stopped reading), and there are plenty that wouldn't make my top 100 (ie- I'd choose "See Your Sunshine" over "Ever Present Past"), but good to see "Here Today" and "Junior's Farm" on there and "Another Day" & "Junk" are in the top 10 where they belong IMO. No "My Love", but also, thankfully, no "My Valentine". :D

Promotion for the tour and the secret Capitol release that is said to be coming? Hope so.

Was wondering the same thing. There's usually/often a timely hook with these types of things, and while it could be just the tour, it could certainly also be that the much-discussed ANNOUNCEMENT OF SOMETHING is looming very, very soon.

It's a pretty good list with at least a couple bizarre entries ("Angry"?!?)

To me the following should be in the top 40 that are missing here:
    "Take it Away"
    "Queenie Eye"
    "Tomorrow"

And I personally would maybe add
    "Arrow Through Me"
    "One of These Days"

And maybe they could have thrown a really experimental track or 2 in like
    "Secret Friend"
    "Rinse the Raindrops"

Or maybe it's an impossible task. :)

I don't like lists that require clicking 5 or 10 times to see the whole thing. (I'm guessing that's what this list is). It's just a way for a website to sell ads.

It sounds like a decent list though - I was hoping someone would copy it here.

The list could be his top 100 songs and that still may not be enough

I don't usually get too worked up about these things, but the list sucks! There are about 20 choices on the list I have problems with. No time to get into it now, though.
