One of my Stones guilty pleasures is the It's Only Rock N Roll album. Had they added Through The Lonely Nights and Criss Cross Man b-sides they could've had an interesting (much more imo) album than what they released. I made it similar to the fast side/slow side a la Tattoo You.
    Tracklisting something like this:

    A
    If You Can't Rock Me
    Ain't Too Proud To Beg
    It's Only Rock n Roll
    Short And Curlies
    Criss Cross Man

    B
    Time Waits For No One
If You Really Want To Be My Friend
    Through The Lonely Nights
    Till The Next Goodbye
    Fingerprint File

I really don't like Dance Little Sister and debated on Short and Curlies but it's a harmless fun track whereupon Dance is just too repetitive.

When Keith Richards went on trial in Canada, Jimmy Page said he would forgive him for anything since he wrote “Dance Little Sister”. Apparently Jimmy loved that riff.

I've never heard that one. Strange that out of all the many, many Stones songs that Jimmy would choose that one/riff.

Through The Lonely Nights and Criss Cross were recorded at the Goats Head Soup Sessions. Short And Curlies was begun at those sessions as well.

I think "Drift Away" would have been used instead of "Through the Lonely Nights" and "Living in The Heart of Love" instead of "Criss Cross Mind" as they recorded during those sessions.

I would have left Luxury on the album.

I would have put "Luxury" on another album.

That was never a b-side to any single, and in fact it has never been officially released at all.

Maybe it will be on a Goat's Head Soup deluxe edition, but since I doubt there will be one, then maybe on a Tattoo You Deluxe which I believe may happen, and since its a tarted-up outtakes album to begin with, it would be an appropriate home to any outtakes spanning from Goat's Head Soup to Emotional Rescue.

How could I have forgotten Luxury and Drift Away?!

A new tracklisting to bring it up to 12 tracks:

    A
    If You Can't Rock Me
    Ain't Too Proud To Beg
    It's Only Rock n Roll
    Luxury
Living In The Heart of Love
    Criss Cross Man

    B
    Time Waits For No One
If You Really Want To Be My Friend
    Through The Lonely Nights
    Drift Away
    Till The Next Goodbye
    Fingerprint File
