Discussion question: Have the Stones, individually or collectively, ever even acknowledged the existence of the Grateful Dead? Except for Altamont, did they ever cross paths?

Sam Cutler was a Tour Manager for the Rolling Stones, then did same for the Dead and eventually became a co manager of the Dead.
I'm sure others on SHF know more details.

Here's some Stones songs performed by the Dead or their off-shoots:

"Tainted" started as Northern Soul, so...

Glam-period Bowie seems tailor made for the Stones.

Mick is still randy enough to pull off "Me & Mrs. Jones"...

Ha! And get Carly to sing bvox...

Wow, that would work well. So would Mac's "Angel" and "Gold Dust Woman"...

Beat me to it! I was gonna suggest the same thing.

I'd add Eurythmics "I Need A Man", plus any other obviously Stones-inspired tunes.

Also, Prince just came up on shuffle on the computer with "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man", which would make a perfect Stones song. Probably "Purple Rain" and a few others would be candidates as well.

There is actually some sort of announcement coming on Oct. 6. Not sure if this will be about the blues album or not. Someone on IORR is saying it will be an announcement of a new single from the blues album. This person also said the original plan was for a double album with one disc of blues covers and one of new originals but work on the disc of originals was running behind so they elected to release the blues disc early.

I read 2 tracks will feature Clapton.

Since the news came about them doing a blues album, I'd like to see a double album set. One would be blues covers & the other would be R.S. blues originals.

According the source on IORR that I posted about above, that a double album was the original plan but the album of originals was supposedly running behind so they are choose to release the blues album early as a stand alone release.
