Question: Tattoo You doesn't include the lyrics insert that came with the original - is this cause for complaint, or was the insert only originally included with the French version and therefore deliberately omitted here?

 

AFAIK neither the US nor UK pressing came with a lyric insert. So it wasn’t omitted per se...the French pressing just got a bonus.

I just noticed that "Mixed Emotions" from Steel Wheel has different mix,...is anybody noticed that?

Hello, first time posting here. I hope some people can help me. Can anybody tell me what the number was on their box set and if it was a set that was good or if it had pressing problems; inner groove distortion, bad non-fill problems, ect... . I'm not sure that the numbers on the box would have anything to do with the vinyl but I was just curious. The boxes I'm sure were printed and numbered then they just grabbed any of the lps and put them in regardles of the order that they were pressed. After a couple of bad sets that were returned i'm ready to give up on this set. I think the Lps that are pressed good sound great, but to many pressing problems. I dont understand the quality control on this set, or I have just been real unlucky. Thank you.

 

I am at my last turn with Music Direct. I'm just about there with a complete perfect set and they are sending two final replacements to me. If these fail then it's done and a full refund of box is in order. It would be a shame because this set sounds nice.

My second and final replacement of Emotional Rescue has a skip in the exact same spot during Dance Part 1. Does anyone have any issues with skipping ?

 

I didn't have any skipping on Emotional Rescue. Not sure I had any issues at all, actually.

 

I just went back to my notes from the Sound Quality thread. My ER had inaudible non-fill, but that's all.

 

Yes I am familiar with the non fill issue but don't recall seeing anyone mention a skipping issue with any of the records. Two of my replacements had skipping at precisely the same spot.

 

Yeah, that's the first I'm hearing of a skip. What song is it on?

 

My Emotional Rescue is perfect. Some Girls too. Both sound great as.well. That is as far as I have gotten so far.

03273. No pressing issues. Since the number is printed on a separate card, I doubt there is any connection with numbers and pressing order and or issues.

Maybe the song is so loud/busy that the needle can't stay in place. Assuming you were asking for clarification of what I meant.
