It's only $100 more than the list price of The Beatles impending Sgt. Pepper box set, and look how much more stuff you get for your money too. :shh:

I used to love Laugh-In and watched it every week on original airing. I haven't seen full episodes since, and doubt they would hold up all that well now for me. It would make a fun gift to receive though.

Loved this show, but a bit pricey for me to.
    I assume these are uncut.

Some episodes are available on YouTube. Holds up better than I thought, but a little goes a long way. Can't imagine watching a box of them.

I remember watching re-runs on Nick At Nite in the late 80's and thinking it was kind of funny... sort of... but also very dated.

Episodes are being shown every night on DECADES and they look to be uncut. I have even seen some with the original NBC peacock opening as well as NBC closing. A lot of the material is dated and doesn't hold up well today.

I was blown away when I saw this air in the late 1960s. It had to be fake! No politician would ever do anything but a serious news show! Well, that idea has been totally out the window for many years now. Nixon was a TV pioneer. Go figure.

he was buds with them, especially Dan. Even so, a BIG surprise at the time. News media all over the story.
I wonder if he saw the irony in saying 'you won't have Nixon to kick around' and then years later says 'sock it to me?'

And then a few more years later the Washington Post really did sock it to him. :shh:

That's my feeling as well. The few times I've tried to watch it, I've changed the channel before too long because I just didn't find it funny any more.

Way too expensive. Get it down to under $80 and maybe, but $250, come on.

Back in 2003-04, Rhino released two best-of DVD collections that contained complete episodes (I think there were 6 episodes on each of the two sets), so I'd expect the complete-series set to contain full episodes as well. As I said to someone yesterday, the good news is that a complete-series set is finally being released, something I really didn't expect to see at this point. The bad news is that it's Time-Life who's releasing it, so it's going to be expensive and initially exclusive to T-L - no chance of getting a better deal on it elsewhere for a while. T-L occasionally has sales, but even then they still tend to be overpriced. I'm definitely interested, but I'll be waiting until T-L's exclusive is up and it shows up at other retailers, hopefully at a more reasonable price.

  22. I'm kind of surprised that there was deemed to be a market for a monster set like this, even at half this price.
