Just saw the EU price with signed print, 169€

That's a good one, pretty curious if there are 500 people willing to spend that much money. I don't think I paid much more than 50€ for my multiple pressings of this album. And I'm pretty positive the unsigned edition's price will eventually come down.

No thanks! I love my Pacific Northwest bread too much to trade a loaf of it for a questionable mastering on CD that I'm unlikely to enjoy as much as the mastering of that same album I already have in my collection.

Agreed, but saw this posted at QQ from bullmoose so this price(69.97 US) is much more in reach of most of us.
If I saw this price in Canadian I would get it.

That looks good. My choice would be this lovely stuff, around £1.50 in the UK, so almost the price of (and more welcome in my house than) TWO 1999 Roxy CDs.. :)

thanks - I wasn't going to buy this but $70 for some early Eno Roxy documentation was in my card!

I saw Donalad Fagen's Cheap Christmas box set on LP
I didn't have Kamakariad which is usually ultra expensive so I bought the whole box of lps!

Well, that's one of my favourite albums ever, so why not (there's no way I would put so much money on this, otherwise... and the debut is probably the only Roxy Music album where I really, really want to hear something more... I'm really obsessive about this one). Too bad they didn't use the 2015 SHM-CD remaster, but I'm buying this for the extras and the book etc, anyway.

Considering the excessive price, I'd rather go the extra mile and I'll take Bryan Ferry's signature as well.

Oh, and by the way... Throw your precious gift into the air.

Best use of a well-known record in a film ever. Not sure about the film as a whole, but those scenes set off some long-forgotten feelings of being young. Took me completely by surprise and stayed with me for days.

So, I’m forgetting this shambles now.

Maybe join me instead in a dream for a Here Come the Warm Jets set?

The Steven Wilson remixes of Ladytron/The Numberer were on a RSD 10” a couple of years ago. It was supposed to be a teaser for the box set, which was obviously delayed until now, but for whatever reason doesn’t include SW’s stereo remix.

On the Ladytron 10” from 2015. I don’t know whether the extended A-side is on the new set, either.

Think I recall someone in the Pepper thread talking about converting 5.1 to stereo.

    So I'll ask again:
The only hi-res here is in 5.1?

I don't think there is any hi-res (which I consider as at least lossless 24 bit, 88.2kHz) at all on this release. What's your definition of "hi-res"?

From the listing in the official store:

To round the audio/visual elements of the set off, lifetime admirer Steven Wilson has mixed the album into 5.1 DTS 96/24 and Dolby AC3 Sound.

Well no, Steven Wilson mixed the album into (probably) 5.1 PCM 96/24.

We also don't know if this lossy DTS and lossy AC3 presentation has been mastered by someone who thinks they have enhanced his work by adding some compression and smiley EQ.

To Plan9 - Now that I think of it I remember reading that Steven Wilson works in 24 bit 48 kHz, and as this album was remixed ages ago, even if he has moved up to using 96 kHz this would most likely have been done in 48 kHz.

So is PCM 24/48 the most likely format of Wilson's remix?
