I saw this yesterday and enjoyed parts of it. Some parts I was skeptical about.

    There WAS a thread.

I've avoided going to see it. Just not a fan of Biblical re-imaginings.

I wanted to see it in initial release but missed it. Watched it a couple weeks ago at home. I found it thought-provoking, not your standard sword and sandals epic, had a 'sci-fi' quality to it, the imagery of the animals coming to the ark was wonderful. My wife thought it was a little hokey, but a few days later agreed she was still thinking about it, so it did something- most empty movies go out of my head pretty quickly. I like the director's work generally, though, even when his films, like the Fountain, miss the mark. He's ambitious.

  13. It acts as an interesting allegory for our world today as well.

I thought it was decent. Interesting take on the Noah parable.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I hated hated hated "Black Swan" and expected more arty-farty nonsense this time but found "Noah" to be fairly straightforward and involving...
