Enjoyed this thriller series based on the spy mission of Isreali Eli Cohen in Syria in the early to mid 60s.
Stylishly done and Sacha gives a strong, moving performance.

Watched it last year, and really got into it. Didn't want it to end....but it had a hard exit!

Can't recall my exact thoughts overall, but it was quite immersive and well-done. Lots of unique twists in the action and drama that kept it safely away from rote-cliche territory.

Want to watch it again, actually.

This is interesting. Can't say that I've come across this series on Netflix here in Canada!

It's on there, but not heavily promoted, you have to search for it.

This is a great mini-series, and Cohen deserved an Emmy for it. I do hope he gets more projects like this in the future.

Sounds interesting. Didn't know of that series before.
By the way, do I see similarity in both guys' names (Cohen)? Must be coincidence!

I was familiar with this story and thought Sacha & Co did it justice in the miniseries. Recommended as one of the best things on Netflix.

I finished it today. Very good, thank you. Sasha Baron was great, different (too bad he didn't play Freddy BTW ). Interesting to see this area of the world too.

Very good mini-series. Cohen was great. I always liked to see comedic actors do drama. They surprise you sometimes how good they are. Thinking Robin Williams and the two guys in Call Saul who play the two brothers.

I'd never seen SBC in a drama role before, but for this one he nailed it. The story was great and the acting was superb. This mini series is well worth watching especially if you like espionage / Cold War stories. And, I admit it, I'm not really a fan of Cohen's comedy.

He did very well in Scorsese's Hugo. It wasn't a full-fledged serious role, but it was a far cry from his normal comedy shtick. He's a talented actor with more range than most.
