I think Ivan Pudge Rodriguez looks more like Freddie Mercury. :goodie:

I hope Cohen is simply going to be an actor, and will not otherwise be in charge of the project. I thought Bruno was a tasteless mess.

I won't see any movie he is in, so it doesn't matter one way or the other to me...

Cohen is perfect for the role, his comedy has always been less of the "standup" kind and more of him as an actor taking over a role as an outrageous personality, the comedy being largely in the reactions of those not in on the joke. He's a very good actor. Should be good, depending on the rest of it too of course, writing, directing, cinematography, the other important stuff.

Anything has got to be better than the last rock bio movie I saw - 'The Runaways'. What a tired formula was used for that one.

Looking forward to see how he handles the role. If it’s a great success it will spark a new interest in Queen, like Oliver Stone introduced The Doors to a new generation.

Sound alike? I agree. Look alike? Ehhh.... I also read in an interview with Mika that he is friends with Brian May, and May doesn't think Mika sounds anything like Freddie. HUH???

The question is: do we need a Freddie Mercury biopic? Films about famous musicians are usually lame.

Yeah, that's a legitimate concern. However, making this Mercury picture reduces the odds of another Flintstones movie. It's not a remake, so, I'm highly in favor of it.
