Amazing to think Plant was 21/22 when he wrote whatever he wrote on the first four LZ albums.

I saw AC DC in 1979 when I was in high school. I remember being surprised back then when I heard how old Bon Scott was. He was a year older than Sammy. About nine years older than Angus.

Not really. I recall Hagar with Montrose at the same general time period.

They even hit the UK in '74.

One tops the other on apparent age, and the other absolutely crushes the one musically, no room for debate at all (in my opinion).

And I see now some ARE making this a vs. thread.

I'm not sure how much he spent building the Cabo Wabo business but his return was sweet.

In 2007, Sammy Hagar sold 80 percent of his Cabo Wabo tequila business to Gruppo Campari for $80 million.

And in 2010, Sammy Hagar sold his remaining 20% stake in Cabo Wabo Tequila to Italy’s Gruppo Campari for $11 million dollars!

He should have a few bucks left over for cab fare!

Sammy looks like a 72 year old with hair. Real?? Who knows. The Stones are Weave City. Why not Sammy.

Yep, Hagar has always struck me as the kind of guy who just wants to rock out and have a good time. More entertainer than artist, which is okay.

I think if it came down to a fist fight, Sammy wins. (From these pic's.)
Just sayin' just in case this is now an official vs thread. And, I now would kinda like to see that, the idea has been planted in my head.
I wonder if they would be down for a celebrity boxing match.

Hagar started as a boxer. Personally I wish he had excelled at that beyond his wildest dreams.

Sammy's hair has looked fake to me ever since he joined Van Halen. Perhaps he started with a weave or even a wig back then and figured, "What the hell, it'll look a little goofy now, but in twenty years it'll look like I just haven't aged!"

It's surprising how much younger Sammy looks in the face though. Robert looks like he's had some major worries.

I'm going to stop now because I don't think the OP intended a "hate on Sammy" thread.
    See sentence above. :D

I would rather see them sing together. Leave "fist fights" for less the less talented.

He earned it. Listen to the albums. He is a better singer (imo) than Roth, and doesn't act like an idiot.

If you check, they’re only 10 months apart in age. And I’m sure there were more fans that were older than plant when Zeppelin first hit the scene.

Man, you ever see that video of VH where DLRoth throws up his mic stand and hits himself in the nose? Just a year or two ago?

Wasn’t that on the Jimmy Kimmel Show?

As far as Plant having worries? He had a major car wreck that almost killed him and left him confined to a wheelchair to record Presence plus his son, Karac, died at a very young age. I respect Plant for keeping his appearance real. That said, he looks far older than Page or Jones at this point. Worries and hard living.

Sammy’s definitely had some subtle work done on his face. You’d think he’d throw in a nose job, but that might be too obvious.

I highly recommend checking out Chickenfoot (Hagar, Satriani, Michael Anthony, Chad Smith). Some of the best stuff Hagar has been involved in IMO.

He name checks Led Zeppelin (well, Houses of the Holy) in the song Big Foot by Chickenfoot by the way :D
