I loved the first one too, but actually never got around to buy the follow up. I don't think I ever saw it in stores here in Norway. :shake:

But I love 'Disparate Youth', so maybe it's about time. Why didn't you like her second album as much?

I felt that "Disparate Youth" was the stand-out track on the second album and that it didn't offer the diversity and loads of catchy tunes the first one did. But you should give it a listen, maybe you feel differently.

VERY excited! And if the vinyl of "99¢" sounds as good as "Santogold" and "Master Of My Make Believe", I will be happy... although my copy of the latter had physical damage on side 2.

"Love" might be an exaggeration, but I really liked it. :agree: I like it more than 'Can't Get Enough Of Myself'. :righton:

I believe that her music is highly contagious and quite original. She has her own voice, her own approach and she doesn't really sound like anyone else.

    Simply beautiful, in my book.

I finally bought 'Master Of My Make-Believe', and just finished the first listening. I'm surprised how much I liked it. It's different from her debut (which I played to death, and loved, but still can't distinguish some tracks from eachother).

I'm excited for the new album! :pineapple:

Santigold's New Album '99¢' Delayed Until Feb. 26

After sharing her vibrant new single "Can't Get Enough of Myself," Santigold—or rather, her label—is pushing back the release of the singer's upcoming album 99¢.

Originally expected next month, Atlantic Records confirmed Wednesday the album will arrive on Feb. 26.

A rep for Santigold also provided assurance that in addition to new music, there will be "a tour to follow."

    Watch Santigold's "Chasing Shadows" Video

After debuting "Chasing Shadows" yesterday on Annie Mac's BBC 1 radio show, Santigold returned today with a visual for the track directed by Elliott Lester.

"'Chasing Shadows' is about [dealing] with the conflicted reality of an artist's life," Santigold explained in a statement. "Caught in the web we spin around ourselves, a mixture of hubris and the guise of perfection, we fear being swallowed up by our own ambition... as quickly as we reach our goals, our gaze shifts to those still looming in the distance. We judge ourselves harshly for not being further on the path and revel in the anxiety of racing the rate of consumption. The lyrics weigh the value of going against the current to maintain artistic integrity, and the feelings of isolation and vacancy bred by a persona that is always 'on' and ready for show."

"Chasing Shadows" is produced by Rostam Batmanglij (who also shared new solo material yesterday). The backing vocals are provided by the West Los Angeles Children's Choir.
