That show with Paul Simon has the best opening of any SNL episode IMHO. When I first saw this live and L. Michaels was explaining to George that the three G's was for 4 people I laughed my a** off!

It was great! I remember it when it originally aired too.

Last night's SNL (NOT the 1970s one) was good, we laughed out loud more than once. They put some effort into production numbers, but most every bit worked somewhere.

The episode did not do much for me but I am glad that others enjoyed it.

Not as strong as last week, but not a bad episode. Weekend Update was pretty good and there were a few good skits.

The bit with the German Chancellor was funny.

The School House Rock bit was very funny (but in typical SNL style, went on a minute or so too long).

Agree on nestpresso..very, very clever if not a bit weird and creepy. They are turning things around me thinks!

And like SNL -- it didn't examine what actually happened but chose to present some talking points from one side.

They do this often, and the "sides" that the talking points come from change, but it's always much less clever than say The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. Still more clever than Red Eye, but that's a low bar :)

I thought the Cameron Diaz show was the weakest yet this season. Stale and not funny. IMHO.

Eh...didn't dig WU that much outside of Leslie's commentary. Colin and Michael talking about Eric Garner kinda killed it. They were a tad too serious.

Why does Michael Che wear the same suit, shirt and tie for every update?

I notice by watching the program. Most news anchors don't wear the same thing every night. I don't really care. I just think its a bit odd.
