Nothing on the 2018 SNL is worth airing.

It is fairly unusual for them to take a two week break after the first episodes of the season -- however they also did it last year.

In other seasons they've taken a one week break after only two episodes!

This weather reporter proposal is the sketch I saw them do with Aziz Ansari in his dress rehearsal.

"There was a sketch set in an Albany news station with Leslie and Bobby playing the anchors, and Cecily the meteorologist. Bobby's surname was Boynuts, by the way. It started with Bobby and Leslie laughing after coming back from commercial, saying they'd just discovered the two of them have the same taste in men. Cecily then mentioned Leslie's Star Wars fan-fiction, and Bobby said it was a great 10 page book. Then, as Cecily was doing the weather, Aziz burst in on her, wearing a green shirt, so he was blending into the weather map (Leslie meant to say opposite of green when telling him what to wear). He was trying to ask her to marry him, after they've been together for 6 months (Cecily made it known that it was only really 3 months, since they weren't exclusive at first, but Aziz said he was). After a while of arguing and trying to ignore him, she finally said "yes," and Aziz got happy and exited, but then she told Leslie and Bobby that she only said that to get him out and didn't mean it. Bobby said, "I'll take him," then Leslie said, "Hey, maybe I want him." Aziz eventually came back on at the very end, but I don't think it was anything super important that happened. I was surprised this sketch was cut. I would have swapped it for the dirty talk sketch."

The opening phrase of Maggie Rogers (sp?) performance may be the most out-of-tune vocal I've heard on SNL. Ouch!

Okay, I loved Melissa doing the teen charged with murder on Weekend Update. The Dick Wolf card at the end of the bit was perfect.

  14. It was incredibly flat. I searched the song on YouTube to verify. It is called "Light On". I wonder if she was wearing monitor ear pieces and the mix was off, or they weren't loud enough. Once all the instruments came in on the song, she was back on pitch. The 2nd song she sang, "Fallingwater" was much better. Reminded my wife and I of Florence Welch. Maggie also has a similar look.

  15. I would say that dubious honor is still held by the gal from the Arcade Fire, during their second appearance on the show. Oy.

I had that thought too, it made me think there was a tech problem where she couldn't hear the instruments.

Awful. Went on longer than that. Checked back in late in the tune and she was better thankfully. How does a singer like this get booked on National Television?

Compared to K West, she was pretty good.

Proof that it was live and not autotuned.

Speaking of which, I thought Nasim Pedrad left for a sitcom, but I don't recall anything ever coming of it. I loved her, but mainly for her looks. She never really had a break out character on the show.

She left for Mulaney, which only lasted a few episodes.

Come on be reasonable...that wasn't even close to career ending. Hell she's put the links to both songs on her Youtube/Vevo account.
