It was announced on Tommy Talton's Facebook. :-(
I was just listening to one of his very early recordings the other day
With Brother Duane Allman... Rest In Peace Scott.
Rest In Peace.
From one of my favorite albums:
Terrible news. I'm a big fan.
Sad. Losing the old Southern rockers at a rapid clip.
Scott Boyer was a deep unique talent; his songs ring true and really take you there.
He brightened many a day for this cowboy.
A beautiful piece of music.
Oh no RIP
I've just been reading about Cowboy in the book Rebel Yell. They sound like a great band.
Condolences to Scott's family, friends & fans.
Saw him play locally many times through the years. Nice guy, Rest in peace Scott.
I was playing Gregg Allman’s “Laid Back” during my morning commute. And now I see this. Rest In Peace, Scott.
I hope a few of Cowboy’s LPs can be remastered soon as they are more than worthy.
Not enough folks have heard them.
RIP . Hopefully the Gregg Allman Tour album will get the deluxe treatment and the songs from Cowboy will be expanded on. The two Cowboy tracks that are on the album are two of my favorite tracks on the entire album.
Please Be With Me.
Ah, shucks. Guess I'm listening to some Cowboy next.
I so know what you’re saying ...and its Chuck L w Cowboy which is just amazing! On Tour got a ton of play on FM radio in the DC when it came out....great memories.
The Gregg Allman Tour is one of my all time favorite albums. Not only for the inclusion of the Cowboy tracks but also for outstanding versions of Queen of Hearts and Dreams.
Gregg Allman With Cowboy (6) / Boyer* & Talton* - The Gregg Allman Tour
That would make a great addition to a deluxe Laid Back
Chuck Leavell adds some great Fender Rhodes work to Time Will Take Us
Chuck Leavell is such a huge talent! For years I was hoping he'd get Sea Level back together. But with the passing of Jimmy Nalls and Lamar Williams that sadly will never happen. I saw Sea Level twice in the Boston area and both shows were incredible!
Rest In Peace. . .
