Hey folks, I'm looking at stocking some spare output tubes for my MC-30's while there are still some good options available. I have SED "winged C" 6L6's and have zero complaints with their performance and presentation, but I'm trying to gain an idea on how the GE 6L6GC or 7581A compares to the SED sonically. Can anyone share some experience?

Best are RCA 6L6GC. I suspect the GE may be more of a sideways step.

The RCA's are definately the king for guitar amps due to there fat warm texture and amazing breakup when overdriven but does the same hold true for hifi audio?

According to expert Michael Symra (audio asylum contributor) the RCA 6L6GC is best sounding tube in home audio reproduction. Michael has a huge stock of vintage 6L6 tubes and has rolled every 6L6 in existence in his upgraded amplifiers.
