Same deal as the Lennon SACDs, although the Beach Boys titles will also be released on Platinum SHM-CDs as well as paper-sleeved SHM-CDs. Yes, PET SOUNDS is included, but it's SMILEY SMILE I'm most interested in. Releases December 3rd,

Hmmm toss up between pet sounds on MOFI and platinum dsd remaster. Guess I'll have to wait a little but and let the reviews and comparisons trickle in.

Does anyone know Chad Kassem and have a way to contact him? It would be nice to know if the AP project was scrapped. It would also be nice to know if Gray will be mastering these.

    I will buy "Today!".
PASTMASTER version is good, but She Knows Me Too Well sounds bad.

$40 for those 12 short tracks on All Summer Long is asking a lot, and it's not clear if they are stereo or mono. All it says is 2014 DSD from original US tapes.

Is this the beginning of a reissue on shm sacd? I'd be interested in other brother records titles like 'friends', 20/20 and 'surf's up'.

tbh I love the two-fers and would want to now how much better these sound. also a shame shm sacd's are 5.1 :(

Zappaien: please report on the new packaging and how it differs from what has been.

AP's 14 BB titles will now include both mono & stereo (where applicable). They were originally only going with stereo.

I have a few of the new SHM-SACDs arriving today or tomorrow. Anyone have first impressions yet?

One truly needs to question whether or not ANY "Beach Boys" fan really needs "Bull Session With Big Daddy" on an SACD?

Here is 20 minutes worth of it, that could make for a "bonus track", for those that need to have "everything" in their collection ...

Spinning Shut Down Vol 2. I've not played this album before. Sound quality far exceeds what I expected. If there's better digital out there for this title, then I'd be shocked.

No 2fer discs / no interest. One SACD can hold a lot of music and most of these are short LP's. They are really going for the wallet on these.

Yep. Not sure why anyone would buy 30 minute SHM-SACDs from an unknown mastering engineer knowing hybrid SACDs with stereo/mono by Kevin Gray are coming soon.

What do you mean with "coming soon"? Do you mean "soon"?….or "soooooooooooooon"?

In February 2014 AP announced Belafonte SACD with "coming summer 2014". A month ago it was pushed to November 2014…..but now pushed to February 2015. And God knows…

Isn't it better having products here & now when both you and me are still alive and can enjoy music?

Couldn't the Japanese SHMs be using the exact same mastering Kevin Gray did for the APs?

It would make sense to me to have two different DSD masterings happening at the same time IF one of them was a flat transfer (as the Japanese ones usually are. But the CDJapan description clearly mentions 2014 US DSD mastering...

I ordered all The Beach Boys SHM-SACDs along with the ultra-limited Disk Union Beach Boys SHM-SACD box. Awright!
