All you have to do to win is post on this thread. No Gorts this time, please! I had a blast remastering this Grammy winning album. D.L.'s original engineering notes were in the tape boxes and I pretty much agreed with him all the way. So, this disc has the warm analog sound of the late 1970's original WB LP cutting; the sound that sold over 3 million copies. Heh, also in the boxes were the EQ notes for the first WB compact disk mastering: A 2:1 compression ratio plus minus 10db at 100 cycles (to kill any usable bass) and plus 8db at 8k (to kill any flying insects). Ear bleeding settings. Needless to say I stuck with Mr. Landee's original mastering ideas. At any rate, good luck! Enjoy this disc. From the Audio Fidelity website: THE DOOBIE BROTHERS "Minute by Minute" Here to Love You What a Fool Believes Minute by Minute Dependin' on You Don't Stop to Watch the Wheels Open Your Eyes Sweet Feelin' Steamer Lane Breakdown You Never Change How Do the Fools Survive? "This is where the "new" Doobie Brothers really made their debut with emphasis on horns and Michael McDonald's voice and piano. The public loved it, buying more than three million copies. The recording establishment gave Minute By Minute four Grammy Awards, propelling the group to its biggest success ever."
