I know of quite a few titles that fall under this category. You will have to put the vinyl up against a very strong or bright source of light in order to determine whether it is transluscent or not. Please do not include the 1st generation Mobile Fidelity titles as all of them use the JVC Super Vinyl compound which you can see thru it. As well as Japanese pressings as they have a too many titles which fall under this category as well. To start off namely a few:

    Police-Synchronicity (A&M)
    Kingdom Come-Kingdom Come (Polygram)
    Steely Dan-Gold (MCA)
    Larry Carlton-Alone/But Never Alone (MCA)

By the way, does anyone feel these pressings sound better than their regular counterparts (of the same title) with the non see thru vinyl? :)

I believe Jimi Hendrix - Live at Winterland (the original, not the recent reissue) was pressed on clear vinyl.

I think the op is talking about "Quiex II" vinyl formulation.
The Quiex II vinyl is a special vinyl and is quieter and better than normal vinyl.
Sometimes it is used in 'demo' copies of recordings.
I have a Paul Simon Quiex II demo.
The new records with it usually have an oval sticker with the "Quiex II" written on it.

In addition: just because a used LP cover has a quiex II sticker, you have to actually LOOK at the Lp up to the light. I have seen PLENTY of So called used Quiex II covers with conventional Lps inside.

My Fleetwood Mac Mirage pressing is the see-through Quiex II Limited Edition Pressing. You can see through it, but not as much as The Police's Synchronicity lp.

Lennon's Milk & Honey was translucent vinyl.

I assume that you are talking about vinyl that looks black on first glance, but is actually translucent.

I assume this, too. If so, a very tough one to find is McCartney's "Press to Play".

Wow, never heard of this, can you share more? I have the orig. vinyl but it's still sealed. Are you talking about a Quiex II variation? I'd love to learn more about this!
