It's broadcast every Sunday night at midnight on the NBC TV Network. I cannot tell if it was filmed in the 1980's, '90's or last week. It is sort of a take off on Charlie's Angels but with even worse acting. My husband thinks that one of the girls (Cassie) is hot stuff. We both laugh at the campy dialog though. It's so bad it's actually entertaining in an Edward D. Wood, Jr. kind of way.

So, my question is, WHERE DOES THIS COME FROM? It's not an NBC Network show that was canceled and now it's on at midnight. No. Is it from Canada or something? Does anybody know? :)

When I was unemployed, I watched this show Sunday nights. It came on the NBC station after all of the sports wrap up shows. It would be on as I sat at the PC, and eventually I actually started paying attention to it.

Some of the episodes are quite good! I wouldn't set my calender to it, but it is worth a look.

OK, I'll admit it. I enjoy it too.

If I'm not tired after an evening of switching between Mad TV, SNL, and The Larry Sanders Show, I'll stay up and watch She Spies.

Yeah the shows are simple and predictable but they're just fun to watch and laugh at/with.

It also might have something to do with my infatuation for the very cute shorter haired blond. Name? Not Cassie.

She's actually very funny. She has a great comedic delivery. It's kinda like a tongue in cheek sense of humor where she's almost winking at the audience at the same time.

  7. Never seen the show. Wonder if NBC Spokane carries it? Brad, do you know?

Here's the entry from Internet Movie Database IMDB.

Plot summary says, "Three gorgeous female convicts are paroled from prison to work for an unnamed federal agency. While saving the world, they take verbal pokes at anything and everything, and take absolutely nothing seriously, including themselves."

I sat through a few minutes of this show, waiting for Pamela Anderson to show up with the rest of the VIP cast. They didn't. So I cursed myself for cancelling my overpriced cable, and turned on the only other channel that wasn't showing an infomercial at 2am... the LA City School's 24hr PBS afiliate, and watched a "How to Speak German" type of show---that was ALL IN German. Or should I say Deutsch.
By the end of it I wanted to marry Gilsa, buy a VW bug, and eat some strudel...but instead hid under the covers waiting for the Gestapo to break down my door.

One of the best things about Natasha Henstridge is that she's alllll real. :righton:

It's on our Fox affiliate here....and yeah it does seem like a Charlie's Angels rip-off. The women in the show are very hot, however!

My best friend was the production designer on this show for the first two seasons, and was fired last year because of a network executive's need to use his "new broom" to take the show in a different direction (i.e., everyone was fired, including the show's creators). So yes, this is a new show. For the first season (which was just a few episodes, really), it was on NBC prime time, but then it got quickly sold into syndication. Here in LA it was shown on Sundays after midnight on CBS.

    Yeah, me too.

Actually, the actor who plays the new boss dude, Cameron Diddo, used to star in the TV version of "FX". His assistant on that show looks very similar to the shorter blond on "She Spies".
