Shielding Equipment

    Due to space I will have to put my receiver and dvd/cd player on top of my 61" HDTV. That's a projection type HDTV.

    Is this just a bad idea?

    Should added shielding be applied? Is so, what and how.

    If it's a rear projcection type, I'd think you might be ok. The guts are usually way down near the bottom and all that's on the top is air.

    In my limited experience, only distance between components worked (for me at least).

    I agree with Gary, but in the case of my RPTV the top is 4' away from any electronics.
