Yes, they should be physically in the building, but not upstairs like everyone else. They should be in the rat infested basement or more specifically "In der Ratkeller"

Why not? The past mentioned other bands ignored aren't in. Besides, another topic of why "X" got in instead of "Y".

All kidding aside... I argue that Spinal Tap should be in, just based on sheer "influence".
What band member anywhere between 1982 up to the streaming-generation wasn't exposed to Tap??

Makes as much sense as inducting Lou Reed. :D:hide:

I think Leggy should be in as a sideman.

I love the Rutles but their "appeal may be too selective". Are people who aren't Beatle obsessives that familiar with them?

And I do think that Spinal Tap is worthy of some form of recognition. That movie has gone into the language.

Considering I've never heard of them before, nay. To be in the rock and roll hall of fame surely you must be remembered by all generations, yes I'm 1 person but it's fair to say I won't be the only one.

Then again I have no respect for the Hall of Fame what so ever. In capital letters it means absoutely nothing to me, just how the Rolling Stone's 500 greatest albums mean nothing because it's all about popularity and that stinks. So the Hall of Fame and kiss my butt.

No! Not until some of the great overlooked artists have been considered first. I am all for a good laugh, but to do them before other really deserving artists, that would be an insult and a black mark on the whole RRHOF thing in my opinion.

  17. Um, take a listen to their music. Clearly you weren't around in the late 70's.

    Goose Step Mama anyone?

Tap were really influential. There were a ton of things that bands were too embarrassed to do post-Tap.

Bad News should be in for the facts that Vim Fuego is the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix as well as the (co)composer of the classic 'Imogen'. The recent tragic loss of Colin Grigson has surely bought some attention to these NWOBHM pioneers.

Exactly. The Hall of Fame is awarded to those who last through the decades. It isn't just for people who were hip for a few years and then faded away. You might as well make the Hall of Fame a nostagia act. Go on throw in all the comedy acts... in fact just enter every single band into the hall of fame.
