Guess I'll post my collection too... Keep this cool thread going! Vinyl, box sets, videos, and 45s (and my system!): Where I keep them CDs (Leslie Dame CD Apothecary)... Overflow CDs in another drawer: Christmas & various artists CDs + cassettes I don't often listen to: And finally, the cassettes I do sometimes listen to, in a nice cassette suitcase:
Bought these a year ago during last years record store day! Some great finds at this one store in Vancouver BC

Got it. I did not notice the little pic on the left of the spine, which refer to original cover. BTW - a wonderful album.
Not to sidetrack too much, but what's your experience using Librarything? I have a lot of books, music, and movies, and I'd like a way to keep better track of them. I don't care much about the social aspect.
It's fairly unsophisticated in many ways, but it suits my purposes. All I care about is author/title/year and I have separate "collections" for Rock CDs, Rock LPs, Classical CDs, Classical LPs, and Books. I paid a modest one-time fee because I have so many items, but I feel it was worth it.
I had a family member (uncle) who worked for Apple Records (Apple Corps.) in the late 60s and 70s. When they were cleaning out a storage room at the 95 Wigmore Street office, there were half a dozen boxes of White Albums (mostly second pressings, one box of first pressings), and he was allowed by the office manager after getting permission from the VP to keep the boxes (as he found them and they were not the current pressing that was being distributed). I happened to inherit all six boxes of them (about 200 albums). I’ve listened to one of the albums, the others are stone cold mint.
The question is.... why not sell some of them off? You could make a nice little chunk of change and buy other LPs. But I gotta admit. That is awesome !
One other question... none appear to have writing on the spine, and some appear thicker than others. What’s the deal?
I recently moved to a bigger, better place and bought myself two IKEA Kallax shelving units and got my stereo equipment and records placed!
