Inspired by a recent discussion of "new" tubes; how 'bout a thread featuring pics of your favorite NOS tubes (or old and still working, like many of us)?

The OD3 is just cool looking even over the Coke bottles. It's the vain reason I haven't upgraded my Foreplay III preamp. :) 12ax7s: The Mullards are kind of self-explanatory (one branded IEC). Despite the love for Bugle Boys, I actually have a soft spot for the orange globe Amperex'. I may have to build something special just so I have somewhere to put the black plate RCAs I have. That's a few that are in arms reach. I know you guys have some gems...............

here are some nice old Mullard preamp & GEC power tubes, put to good use: the mullards are original to the amp: still going strong!

    amp is a circa '65/66 100w Marshall

Is that the 8 input head? It looks like it may have been modded at some point.

yep, someone installed a line out at some point, I removed it

I also finally gave in & had the 4 identical inputs wired as:

    stock
    jtm45
    super lead
    super bass

very basic & non-destructive changes: just different cap & resistor values on the volume ctrls. it is pretty cool to have those variations available in a single amp, of this vintage
