I STRONGLY suggest/endorse the UMe releases of Wee Small Hours and Songs for Swingin' Lovers. They use the correct tapes and sound WONDERFUL.

You're searching is done...You've come upon the only ones that you can count on being mint and of excellent sound and quality.

Like my little lyrical play there????

I agree (at least with the Songs for Swingin' Lovers) as I haven't been able to find a copy of Wee Small Hours yet.

Really? In case you can't find it in stores, they are sold on just about every website I've seen...and not at inflated prices.

Zoom in on the back cover. I see the UMe on the bottom left and this one says it was made in Germany in the details. Not sure if there are cheaper options out there but came across this and thought I'd share it.

What the hell. I'll get these. Not because I might get a turntable system eventually, but because the way my luck is going as soon as I spend the money, both LP's will be announced as coming out on CD. Meanwhile they'll slide in safely between the Bear Family box-sets. There's still an inch or two on that shelf. I will leave them in the shrinkwrap.

It is the UMe version, but the details are wrong. It was made in Holland (as are all of the UMe Sinatra vinyl issues). There are cheaper options than Crate & Barrel, e.g. ImportCDs.

Yep. All the LPs are marked as "Clearance" items at Crate & Barrel. Must be approaching the end of the Capitol 75th Anniversary partnership. (Still waiting for Frank Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely. Let's hope it was not vaporware.)

Is this UMe release of Songs for Swingin' Lovers mono or stereo?

Oh thanks, I was confused by my Larry Walsh CD being labelled as stereo!

    Long Live Mono.

It should be mentioned that the 2016 UMe release is the first LP release in many years of TRUE mono from the correct original master tapes. (Same with the 2014 MFSL hybrid SACD in the digital arena.) Since 1962, almost all releases of this album (LP and CD) had been based on "wet" tapes with a trace of stereo channel mismatch.

    For $12.47, that's a no-brainer purchase, IMO.
