A lot of sour grapes from Denny Dillon. Even passive aggressive digs at her "friends" like this...

"Just as our conversation with Gilbert was starting to bore me and Rosalyn"

It seems unnecessary. She must feel really inflated over that idiotic Rolling Stone piece that has her placed at fifty-whatever. On the other hand, Gary Kroeger seems to be grateful for the whole experience and was very classy in his recap.

Thanks for posting this. Kroeger was part of "my" SNL cast, that is, the one I first started watching. Great write up by him. Seems like a great guy who was genuinely happy to be at the reunion.

Denny, on the other hand, seems a bit too full of himself.

  4. Same deal here - great article, from one of "my" cast members too. I remember Kroeger well, and have his "Dr Needleman" sketch almost memorized.

I heard some speculation that Denny didn't really write that. Notice that it's the only entry on the webpage.

Excellent point. That page is set up to look like an ongoing blog, but there's only the one post there. More importantly, Denny Dillon is 63, which makes it extremely unlikely she could have a 14-year-old daughter as the post claims. It's certainly a fake, just like "Gary Burghoff" on twitter last year. Gotta love the internet age we live in.

A little more fact checking of "Denny Dillon's" post: Joe Piscopo and his wife Kim divorced 9 years ago, so it's unlikely that she was there at the reunion as "Denny" claims. And Seth Myers does not have a brother named Tom.

The Gary Kroeker blog was great. His enthusiasm poured out into the words on the screen.

(Also, did you know he was from Iowa?)

Ah, interesting... It did read very strange, and thinking of it from the perspective of someone who wanted to mock Denny Dillion (for some unknown reason) makes more sense.

    That would make sense.

The site I got the link from has now removed the link with a disclaimer that they think it is a fake blog. Sorry about that everyone.

Thanks for the link. Great insight on developing Jeopardy from an insider. Celebrity Jeopardy was the bets skit on the show. I'm surprised he felt he had to ask for permission to steal the idea from "Half Wits" but I get it. I guess that is part of the code of the fraternity and the structure of the joke is exactly what we see in "Half Wits".

Sooo, I'm guessing not, and I've not read anything about her being there. I'd much rather have seen her in a skit than many that actually showed up/participated.

    EDIT:
Looks like she was in the building at least!

She's in the film for like 15 seconds, right?

One thing I've been thinking about for a few days now. So many people bagging on Chevy Chase for getting old and for his career failures. How's John Belushi's career been going? How about Gilda Radner? And no disrespect to either of those two either! But sometimes dying (especially young) washes all your sins away.

    What were Gilda's sins?

None I was referring to. I was saying the Hollywood sins of getting old and having a spotty filmography that some have levelled on Chevy aren't applied when a person dies young. And Gilda died young.
