Outtakes from Johnny Thunders' masterpiece So Alone are being issued on vinyl and double cd. Some fascinating things have been found in the vaults, including a song called "New York" (nothing to do with the Pistols song). For once, you won't have to buy the album again to get the new stuff.

Fu Manchu has indicated they will release a new album in 2016. Given how great their last album, Gigantoid, was, I can't wait.

Definitely the new Steven Wilson 4 1/2, interesting also the new Blackfield with Alan Parson involved with the album (Blackfield V)

Newest Opeth album... and certainly come a new solo album with Mikael Åkerfeldt with folk-psychedelic music and sung in Swedish as he already recently commented.

I have the felling that the new Savages album is going to give them a new status above their fresh sensation tag

Yea, there's a few on that list I'm looking forward to, and quite a few not so much, but especially excited about this one ...

    Mutual Benefit – TBA
    Release Date: TBA

Why We’re Excited: This past month, singer-songwriter Jordan Lee, who records under the name Mutual Benefit, announced that along with an early 2016 tour supporting Deer Tick, he had signed to Mom + Pop and is at work recording the follow-up to his 2013 breakout release, Love’s Crushing Diamond. While little information is available as to what the follow-up will sound like, Lee emerged three years ago as a distinct voice, using strings and synths to accentuate and add flourish to his remarkably open and emotional melodies that displayed a raw sense of vulnerability. His tender, emotional folk may not have been the most novel of musical approaches, but its sincerity and diverse array of sounds helped to win many over. It’s too early to speculate what kind of sound the new record will have, as Lee has been largely quiet in the year away from the road that he’s taken to record it. If it follows in the footsteps of earlier releases, it’s likely it will be another record that sneaks up and takes many by storm. –David Sackllah
