Some cheap vinyl from importscds listed on ebay

This may have been addressed already, but the CCR LPs in the sale aren't the releases using the Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray lacquers.

I thought you posting about a full album. But it's just a 45 single.
Does Taylor Hicks still release music?

Not just any 45. Taylor Hicks' first hit single. The one that started it out, that is ground zero for Hicksmania. Sort of like finding a cheap source for original EMI copies of Love Me Do.

 

Scrolling through CC's discogs listings for the first time in awhile, and came upon this one. Currently priced at $7.90 plus shipping. A seller on eBay has one for $4.86 plus $2.98 shipping. Listed as the ORG version but can't tell if it's the colored version.

What say you guys who ordered this? Is it worth picking up?

3 arrived today. It is a Realworld 45 rpm 2 LP pressing. I just ordered 4 which I believe are the same specs.

Having owned these for a while from ...a-hem...a dubious source, I'm glad to have them on vinyl for such a good value. The only bummer is that the hi-rez download codes seem to have expired on 12/30/16.

 

Bummer on the hi-res codes, but nice deal regardless.

 

Forgive my ignorance what does "In German" mean?

 

These versions of the albums are sung in German.

 

Even though the code states offer expires 30 December 2016, I gave it a shot this morning and it worked like a charm!

Ein Deutsches Album was released shortly after the English version of Peter Gabriel's third solo album. Peter sings in German throughout the album and the music also contains some variations to the English language release.

 

Yeah, most of these codes work beyond the date presented. The reason they put an expiration date on them now, though, is that the labels got tired of dealing with customers when they finally did stop working.

 

Email the label, if the record is new (for you). Just did this for a 2015 pressing I bought last month, expired code. Label replied back and sent me a direct link to download.

YMMV but can't hurt to attempt.

 

Not sure I need these in German...Can anyone compel me otherwise?

 

It is simply a different way to take in two seminal albums.

If you are a big PG fan, and a vinyl fan, PG3/German at this price is a no-brainer.

 

• The nature of the language adds a harder edge to the listening experience
• You'll hear elements in the instrumentation and overall arrangement you've likely overlooked before
• The songs are very unlikely to induce earworms in non-German speakers
