Yikes! That has to be one of the better eBay bargains I've seen lately! And, I've been on the lookout for this set, too. I feel your pain. Personally, I never catch these deals on eBay. I hear about 'em... I just never get to take advantge of them. SIGH!

What's worse is that I was going to do a snipe because I saw it about 5 hours ago so I didn't place a bid. I went out shopping with the wife and kid and got here a minute late.

 

I've never won anything yet. The most infuriating things that've happened to me were: 1) going for a snipe with 30 seconds left, only to have the damn thing ask me to sign in again (I just had) .

2) being at work trying to sneak a snipe and having some bored coworker swing by my desk looking to strike some talk THE VERY SECOND I'd meant to drop the bid.

Sh** like the above can really ruin my day.

 

Seckels, don't feel bad. Although I didn't miss such a bargain I did forget one item on Ebay yesterday.

I could not believe it. As Gary mentioned, SUCH a deal.

 

Nah, I don't really use eBay all that much. I'm browsing a bit these days, but I very seldom bid on anything. Besides, most sellers won't ship here (even those that say 'Will Ship Worldwide' .. I've already learned to ask in advance).

 

Instead of sweating out a schedule, how about bidding what you're willing to pay and walking away? It's much easier on the psyche.

And when I lose by a nickel, so what? Either that nickel's more than I was willing to pay, or I didn't bid my true ceiling. Besides, it's unlikely a sniper wasn't willing to go another dollar or two past my self-imposed limit.

 

I love to sell by auction and hate to buy by auction. But occasionally the good deal does turn up on Ebay, if you spend enough time on it. Hey, this is my 100th post - today I am a man!!!
