Songs that fill a whole LP side

God, is it really?? I love this forum.

 

Force Majeure by the Tangs, just because it's my favourite, but there are loads of long Tangerine Dream tracks...

 

The Shaft soundtrack by Isaac Hayes on Stax, side 4 has a brief End Theme to close, but over 19 minutes of the side is a single first track - Do Your Thing.

Some pretty funky playing on it too, by the Bar Kay's....

 

CAN- Bel Air (future days)

Humble Pie- I Walk On Guilded Splinters (Fillmore)

Pink Floyd- Echoes

Miles Davis- He Loved Them Madly (and like a ton of other sidelong pieces from 70-75)

 

I just finished listening to Harvest of Souls by IQ. I only know it fills up a side because one of the Youtube comments said so ...

If it hasn't been mentioned already, on Focus 3, there's a track that actually lasts I think, for all of side 3 and half of side 4....

from memory, there's a ridiculously long drum solo in there somewhere which would account for it lasting so long!
