I searched through 10 pages o the search engine and couldn't find anything...so here goes, a thread about song lyrics that include references to the radio:

    Son Volt "Windfall":
    Switching it over to A.M.
    Searching for a truer sound
    Can't recall the call letters
    Steel guitar and settle down

    Catching an all night station
    Somewhere in Louisiana
    It sounds like 1963
But for now it sounds like heaven

    Drive By Truckers "Opening Act":
And I'm driving north as the sun was rising over a Technicolor horizon
I reached out to touch you but you're not there, a thousand miles away from here
I turned up the radio; heard some preacher talking salvation
My tank is half full and I reached over and changed the station

    I'm just the opening act

    Golden Smog "Radio King":
    Your music fills my car
And your voice breaks every time
I'm still wonderin' if I know who you are
    I'll hang on every line

    Let's go down together
    Down by the old mainstream
    I'll take you over anything
Let's go back in time, 1959
    I'll take you Radio King

    Deep Purple - MTV
    (Airey/Gillan/Glover/Morse/Paice)

I was driving through the night
Into an endless tunnel of fog
When it dawned on me something was wrong
I was in a trance, hypnotised
    Bored beyond belief
I was listening to the same old song
I know every lick, every word
    Every nuance
I'm on first name terms with the crew
But I'd better get used to this poop du jour
Sure as hell they won't play anything new

Oh yes I love you really
    Classic Rock Radio
Oh my dear it's time for bed
    Time for you to go
    Everyone is asleep

The pirates took to the water stole the charts
But sadly that didn't go down well with those upstairs
    Who require loyalty
    The establishment considered
That the uncontrolled appreciation of music
    Was a danger to royalty
    The mighty empire roared
As Cash 'n' Everitt on the high seas
Looked like they'd get blown out of the water
They did of course eventually come ashore
As meek as mice or to be more accurate
    As lambs to the slaughter

Oh yes I love you really
    I stand to attention
Oh Fanny, I love you dearly
    Something else I should mention?
    You sweet thing

    Let's not talk about MTV
I don't even want to start
I want to take a look at Classic Rock Radio
We're talking about the state of the art

    Mr. Grover 'n' Mr Gillian
    You musta made a million
The night that Frank Zappa caught on fire
Could you tell us all about it
Keep it short and use my version
Or everyone out there'll think I'm a liar
We can speak about bananas for one second
    Just because I understand
You have to get them off your chest
But in the meantime while your talking
Could you do some more of these here ID's
And then this station might maintain some interest

Oh yes I love you dearly
    But why do you exist?
Oh yes I love you really
Is there something that I missed?

Trying to remember the Van Morrison song is driving me crazy -- is it "Wild Night"?

Do DJ songs count? We can start with "Hang the DJ."

By "Hang The DJ" I assume you mean "Panic" by The Smiths?? "Hang the DJ" is the vocal hook not the title.

"Caravan" refers to the radio, quite a bit!

And the caravan is on it's way
I can hear the merry gypsies play
Mama mama look at Emma Rose
    She's a-playin with the radio
    La, la, la, la...

And the caravan has all my friends
It will stay with me until the end
    Gypsy Robin, Sweet Emma Rose
Tell me everything I need to know
    La, la, la...

Turn up your radio and let me hear the song
    Switch on your electric light
Then we can get down to what is really wrong
I long to hold you tight so I can feel you
Sweet lady of the night I shall reveal you

Turn it up, turn it up, little bit higher radio
Turn it up, turn it up, so you know, radio
    La, la, la, la...

And the caravan is painted red and white
    That means ev'rybody's staying overnight
Barefoot gypsy player round the campfire sing and play
And a woman tells us of her ways
    La, la, la, la...

Turn up your radio and let me hear the song
    Switch on your electric light
Then we can get down to what is really wrong
I long to hold you tight so I can feel you
Sweet lady of the night I shall reveal you
Turn it up, turn it up, little bit higher, radio
Turn it up, that's enough, so you know it's got soul
Radio, radio turn it up, hum
    La, la, la, la...
