    Prine's lyric about Rome:

"And they rented a flat on the lower east side of Rome...
    Italy that is
Music publishers, book binders, Bible belters, Money Changers,
Spoon Benders and lots of pretty Italian chicks."

echoes the BH theme song ("The Ballad of Jed Clampett")

"Well the first thing you know old Jed's a millionaire
Kin folk said Jed move away from there
Said California is the place you oughta be
So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly
(Hills that is, swimming pools, movie stars)"

Not Beverly Hillbillies, but the intro to the Frank Black & The Catholics song "All My Ghosts" references the Green Acres theme song, as FB sings "Fresh air! Green hair."

He took Elly Mae and he threw her on the bed....

My favorite is "We're All Gonna Die Some Day" by Kasey Chambers...
Nice "Hillbillies" quote in the guitar solo...

Actually from the show, but not usually heard on its own: "Ellie May's Theme" by the groovy Perry Botkin on guitar.
