I posted that on page 1 already. Does no one read a thread before posting anymore?

Sorry if my post appeared to be rude Lightworker. It wasn't meant to be. It's just that I've noticed something like this happening at least 4 times in the past week or so on different threads. I guess it's starting to get to me. I need to chill out.

Vanz Kant Danz by John Fogerty - Songfacts

    Interesting story in link above.

John Fogerty - original songtitle Zanz Kant Danz - Centerfield LP. I have the original LP before Fogerty was forced to change the title.

Centerfield contains a few songs that take a dig at the Fantasy Records owner.

For a while after signing with Arista, Bob Weir changed the lyrics to Jack Straw from "We used to play for silver now we play for life" to "now we play for Clive".

Not sure if this counts, but George Harrison's "Dark Horse" was released on Apple Records because he was still under contract with them, even though he had already started up Dark Horse Records.

Nellie McKay "Clonie" - "should have signed with Verve instead of Sony..."

She was on Columbia/Sony at the time - the song was on her debut album, the first double debut by a female artist.

And she eventually did sign with Verve.

He didn’t even want to sign with Columbia. He was looking for that thin, wild Mercury sound...
