"Mystery To Me" is my all time favorite Fleetwood Mac album, I listen to it often![/quote]
I think so, and was glad to read in a recent interview that Christine McVie agrees with the two of us :righton:

Imo best drum sound is to be found on Rumours, SH/KG mastering at 45,
Little Feat Waiting for Columbas especially opening tracks and Spainish Moon,
Genesis Seconds Out and John Bonham full stop especially on the Classic 45s.

Also Simple Minds Don't forget About me and Alive and Kicking. Mel Gaynor was one hell of a drummer.

Yes Little Feat were good, love the bass guitar as well. Don't find Rumours that special but maybe because I only have the original LP/cd.

Yeah, that track is so cool! Drums sound wonderful there. I think Andy Partridge has even said he believes 'Nonsuch' is their best-engineered album.

A guilty pleasure of mine is 'Adult Education' by Hall & Oates. First part of the song is drum programming, but right after the bridge some massive gated compressed drums come pounding out of the speakers. Mixed by Bob Clearmountain...it's epic 80s at its best. :agree:

Can also mention Band On The Run by Paul McCartney & Wings. Heavy bass guitar and kick drum.

I just found his 1st one on vinyl, and it kicks. I've got in spinning now and I was just thinking how good the drums sound. The kick hits you right in the chest. Great album.
