I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but I love the simplicity and tone of the Dennis Wilson drum into to "Do It Again."

Nothing fancy, just a solid beat that catches your ear.

Yes, that one... the whole drum track consists of one loong drum-roll. Insanely good!

 

Three by Elvis Costello that I'm sure have been mentioned over the past 13 pages - "I Don't Want To Go To Chelsea", "Watching The Detectives", and "Lipstick Vogue". Probably many more, but those are my three favoritres.

 

Here's one that I've been obsessed with lately. It's pretty simple but hypnotic, setting up the song perfectly. I love those little conga accents too.
