Thanks for turning me on to this band, a gap in my 80s music bank. I noted the Tom Verlaine/Television influence, which is cool. Upon further reading, I learned their keyboardist, Martin Duffy, was on board with Primal Scream for their Screamadelica album ( I just saw a TV Classic album doc on this).

The song linked in my signature ends with the greatest organ solo in history. I will not be swayed on this matter. Turn it up to 11 and let it melt your face off.

EDIT: Actually, there is a better organ solo which remains unreleased: the same solo, the same song, but without the fade applied!

Graham Field on Hammond organ, David Kaffinetti (Spinal Tap) on electric piano - according to the video comments, it's "a modified Hohner Pianet M model."

Everyone always talks about Duane Allman's guitar. But listen to the beginning of the song with the organ and piano together. It sets the mood for the entire song.

I've always liked the piano work in Cat Stevens' "Morning has Broken".

    Excellent pick!

I have to wonder by Boz only had the one lp from Atlantic Records, this one released in late 1969. And then immediately switched to Columbia and cranked out product for 4 decades plus!

    Anyhoo, "Loan Me A Dime"---classic song!:righton:
