Sarah smiles by Bram Tchaikovsky - it was a minor hit over here in Holland, from 1979:

AFAIK, the song never appeared on CD, unfortunately. Had to make my own vinyl rip, just like the poster of the youtube video.

The great "Practice Makes Perfect" by Wire, a sinister one:

"You see up in my bedroom I've got Sarah Bernhardt's hand.
    Practice makes perfect.
    I've done this before.
    Never for money.
    Always for love...

Please dress in your best things and don't make a fuss.
You see up in my bedroom Sarah's waiting for us..."

This thread is so old, I certainly hope the OP has compiled his mixtape by now. Otherwise, I think he's missed the chance. Anyway, I'll throw "Sara's Not Sober" by the Sidewinders into the hat.

"Sarah" by Ween. Sure, the band is mostly a joke, but this is one of their great "serious" songs.

There a song "Sarah" by Demis Roussos, issued in 1977. But it's sung in french and is basically a sirtaki dance, so I'm not sure if it would fit.

Yes, from their "Shades of a Blue Orphanage" album.
The first Sarah was about his Grandma, the second was about his daughter.
