I wouldn't really want to tie myself down to one song forever. I prefer variety.

"Infinite loop" sounds like hell to me, good band name though.

I was almost doing this when I discovered If You Ever Need Me by Margaret Mandolph a couple of years ago. Lately I've been kinda doing it with Someone by Debbie Rollins (another 2014 discovery actually 50 years older). I'm tempted for Welcome Home Baby by Keith Colley too ...

As for songs I've known since they were originally released, I never get tired of Alice Long by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. Can I do Navy Blue and Kiss Me Sailor by Diane Renay both together on a loop? Some of my favourite Four Seasons tracks definitely qualify: Opus 17, Big Man in Town, Girl Come Running ...

Mine changes often. Right now, it's "Can You Stand the Rain" by New Edition:

Human Nature by Michael Jackson. I sometimes listen to it 4 or 5 times in a row. Great song. :)

If by infinite loop you mean three or four times in a row, "Cinnamon Girl."

I probably own hundreds of ambient albums that are just one long song so I do this all the time. On a lazy weekend day I might let something like this play all day in a separate room just to add some ambiance.
