If you ordered the Beck - Sea Change LP during the last sale for $12.99 (or less) you may find a nice surprise inside. They included a download code for a 96kHz/24-bit copy of the LP.

Is anyone else still waiting for shipping confirmation on Sea Change?

As a follow up to my previous post I let Popmarket know about the subsequent shipping damage and they offered a full refund or a 20% credit on my purchase. After much thought I opted for the 20% credit and received it almost immediately. After being disappointed with this particular experience I ended up quite happy with their customer service and attention to my issue/complaint.

Yes. And when you go to the download site, there's also an option for 192kHz/24-bit.

Got it downloaded and converted to FLAC. Listening to it now, nice!

Probably trying to fix their software.

1 - free shipping doesn't seem to work with daily deals
2- shipping LPs that were previously canceled and refunded
    3- etc

wouldn't be a shock if they go under but here is what they posted in FB 2 days ago: popmarket Thanks for writing. We're currently experiencing some issues with the mailorder portion of our site. We'll be back soon!

Anyone who's owed records or refunds from them might want to file a claim/dispute with their credit card company for a refund before it's too late.

Where was it, inside the record jacket itself? I got this LP from Popmarket during that sale and don't remember seeing a download code.

It was a slip of paper inside the jacket, with the LP. Had the cover image on one side and the download info on the other.

Sure enough, I had overlooked it. The little square of paper was jammed down into the bottom of the jacket.

Yeah, this is probably the end of them in their current guise

I thought there was a certain desperation in a survey they sent me sometime in the fourth quarter 2016.

I assume some other entity will take over and try to make a go.

Does anyone know if the metal popmarket they were also running has shut down?

I am waiting on some MoFis from them, will have to wait and see, if they charged me.

If they're gone, I'll really miss them. I've gotten some outstanding deals from them. And while their packaging isn't great and they've messed up my orders once or twice, they've always been quick to make things right.

I hope PopMarket opens up shop again; possibly just revising their website, and eliminating the bugaboos...
(Maybe they should reach out to the dedicated customers for advice...!)

Over the years, PM would have good competitive prices... You just had to be patient and wait. Their 20% discount codes - used along with the Daily Sale - helped, too.

Around the holidays, I picked up a new copy of Ken Sharp's book "Overnight Sensation: The Raspberries" for less than $20 total (had some coupons I applied). I don't know where they dug out copies, but this has been out of print since shortly it was published in 1993. Amazon has a used copy for $115, which is the cheapest I've seen it.

So for that alone, I'm thankful for PopMarket and any version of it going forward is a bonus.

Damn, they still owe me around ~ $200 worth of stuff. What a nightmare.
