Sony Legacy Pop Market (Pt 5)

Just reading back on this thread it seems like this is quite common now...they used to have some great priced bargains...damn!!

 

The explanation is simple actually. The ORIGINAL price is always in US dollar. So when we hit on the Australia menu, it jacks up the offer price when it changes it to A$. BUT it leaves the original price as it was in US$. So there is often the crazy mismatch where the sale price is much more expensive that the original.

 

Yeah I get it...I guess we had a great run with cheap imports and now it's not working in our favor quite the same!!

 

Uh, that doesn't sound good. They never did fill my Spoon bundle and after 7 months they politely cancelled it out, they called it a system error.

 

Had the same thing happen to me with the Led Zeppelin Mothership box set.

Contacted customer service and got a reply that they also see an error on their side. Well Duh.

Next thing I got a notice that the order had shipped.

Snuck in in the last 30 minutes to get the 3 LP/2CD version of Bob Marley & The Wailers Live Forever: The Stanley Theatre, Pittsburgh PA September 23, 1980. With my 15% off, it was only $29.75. Pretty smokin' deal. I know there is a lot of dissatisfaction with Pop Market's shipping practices, whether it be high charges when shipping worldwide or long term back orders, but I've always had good luck with them.

Watch. Now that I say that, this title will go on B/O for five months.

I actually meant to say regarding your question about whether it had sold out, "It must have" rather than the set is a " must have" which it probably isn't. I'd be interested in the vinyl set if it had Zooropa included, which I thought was the case, but the Popmarket description didn't mention anything about it. So maybe I got it wrong?

 

Not Zooropa. Achtung Baby remixes. Kind of rich even at $90, IMO.

 

It must have been one of those uber deluxe sets that had both albums. I swear I saw it somewhere?

 

The Achtung Baby Uber Deluxe box set is 6 x CD, 4 x DVD, 2 x LP (Achtung Baby album) and 5 x 7" singles (45rpm). It has a bunch more swag not in the other box sets.

The Achtung Baby Super Deluxe box set is 6 x CD and 4 x DVD

The Achtung baby Vinyl box set is 2 x LP (Achtung Baby album) and 2 x 12" of remixes (45rpm)

The box sets are the only vinyl releases of the Achtung Baby album spread across 2 LPs, although they are not 45rpm. The vinyl is the Achtung Baby album, plus either a set of five 7" singles (in the Uber Deluxe box) or two 12" of remixes (in the Vinyl box). The CDs include the Zooropa album.

The Achtung Baby Uber Deluxe box set costs north of $100 more than if you bought both the Super Deluxe box set and Vinyl box set.
