Sound quality in modern music

    The Argument that recent recordings sound 'too loud' is laughable. Never goto a live concert, will you! CD buyers want their music 'loud'. They want to hear the instruments playing in their room. They don't want them cleaned up to sound reccessed, unrealistic. I wanna here that electric guitar burst out my speakers, like it would sound coming through an amp in the studio, or at a hall.
    There seems to be a lot of crap written in this forum about what a good remaster is / is not.
    I suppose at the end of the day it comes down to the hi-fi equipment one has.

    Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

    I make CD-Rs on a PC and have MUCH more control over HOW it is made. I know all about maximizing sound levels. It's all math, baby!
