Mrs. Pretzel now believes that 'Giddy Giddy' is my theme song. She is, to say the least, not a morning person, whereas I am.

Sparks are announcing something in an hour or so.

    Speculation:
    - a final tour
    - a repeat of the 21 Album Spectacular
    - the Leos Carax soundtrack
    - the film of The Seduction Of Ingmar Bergman

    Among others…

mmm, I doubt it will be a final tour as they have been so successful on their recent outing, a repeat of the 21 album spectacular may be out of the question given their ages.
Maybe a deluxe edition of their album, or a complete albums box set?

Hopefully not a final tour. The Berlin gig was so energetic, it would be a shame to call it a day.

Three new UK dates in late May, and promise of European summer festivals. Not as dramatic as I thought…

I'd welcome a "The Singles Collection"-type of release. They've released a ton of b-sides, single versions, remixes etc which would make an awesome collection on a 3-4 disc set. I know there's stuff like "New Music For Amnesiacs" and the 2-disc series which compiled the various 80's single/extended versions - but no complete overview yet.

    Two Sparks RSD items tomorrow:

    - a 2LP of The Best Of And The Rest Of The Island Years on red vinyl, which I would guess is a hybrid of the original best of and the b-sides compilation The Rest Of Sparks that was in the recent Island Years LP set (both have the same artwork),

    - a UK release for the Japanese bonus track 'You've Earned The Right To Be A Dick' on hippopotamus-shaped vinyl. Irritatingly, they've put 'Unaware' on the B-side instead of 'Check Out Time 11am', which still hasn't had a UK release.

We got "Check Out Time," you got "Dick." There's no US release. I already dropped Yen on a Japanese copy, but it'd still be nice to have vinyl :(
