Finally we can listen to "stairway to heaven'" in decent quality!
    :)
It's definitely a classic album. One of my favorites ever.

Yet I wonder what is the common view on the remaster from 1996?
I do know It's easily available, remastered by Vic Anesini, and has more then decent DR value.

Aren't the first couple Spirit albums remixed on the Sony remasters?

For this title, the 1996 remaster, (DR11) lost a couple of DR numbers compared to the 1989 Edsel cd, (DR13).

Would love this in mono. I'll settle for Steve-mastered stereo.

The Family That Plays Together is a remix. They lost the master tapes so had to do a remix.

The first album is also a remix in the 1996 remaster. They improved the panning so that when the instruments jump channels, they no longer do so in the middle of a note like in the original mix.

I thought only Time Circle had remixes.

Time Circle is also a remix , but a different remix to the 1996 remaster of The Family That Plays Together.
It's taken me years to try and figure out what is going on and I'm not sure if I've got it yet !!
