Sports & Screen Great Bernie Casey - R.I.P.

Sad news today. I'm a big fan of his film and television work, mostly his Soul Cinema movies like Hit Man, Black Gunn and Cleopatra Jones. Warm thoughts to his loved ones.

Aww man. As good a actor as Bernie was I will always cherish him catching that winning TD for the Rams against Green Bay in 1967. My first and still my best NFL game I ever attended. I don't see a video of just the catch but if you forward to 23:38 you'll see a play I'll remember the rest of my life. Sorry for the gushing.

An amazing athlete, NFL football player! Actor of Stage productions and in many great films incl. roles in Man Who Fell To Earth, several others incl. Bill & Ted, and of course with those Nerds too.

 

I liked him in Sharkeys Machine and Spies Like Us.

A favorite moment of Bernie from "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" ...

 

I only know him from The Man Who Fell to Earth, but sad to hear of his death.

 

Sorry to hear this,good actor and football player.

 

Gotta give a shout out to his work on ST: Deep Space Nine as Sisko's friend-turned-foe.
