So it took Luke 30 years to re-awaken the Force? Maybe he isn't such a great Jedi. LOL

Joy. Now to spend 13 months listening to Star Wars geeks bitch and moan and complain and speculate and bash JJ Abrams and decry the new film even though they haven't seen a second of it yet. All the "psychic movie critics" are warming up their keyboards in anticipation.

Hagstrom Please stop calling them vinyls.

Who cares what it's called. This isn't some art house flick with deep meaning. It's a bunch of wookies and lightsabers.

I'm a SW geek, and I actually think that JJ Abrams is going to do a fantastic job.

The title makes perfect sense to me. All of the jedi died, except for Luke and I'm guessing this movie may be introducing characters that are Jedi, hence the Jedi are starting to grow again.

Is Princess Leia going to be dead in the new movie?
What then is Carrie Fischer's role in the movie?

Never heard a joke about lens flares in relation to JJ Abrams. How original! :shtiphat:

Princess Leia wasn't a jedi. She had a little bit of the telekinsis thing with Luke, but that was it. At least, that's all they showed in the movies

Even if you want to split hairs, and say she was a Jedi, that means there are 2. My point still stands that the title makes sense seeing as there are 2 Jedi's left, and seeing as this takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi, then you can assume they need to find more Jedi to take the place of Luke and Leia.

Well, we have no idea as we don't know what the story is. However, one of the rumors is that Luke disappeared some time after Return of the Jedi and hasn't been seen in years. He was the last of the Jedi. If that is the case, it seems to be a perfectly sensible title.

Given the directors, I still suspect a time travel element to the plot.

That could give the subtitle more than one layer of meaning...

    Stupid title.

Anthony Daniels also says it's better than Empire.

    Right.

Sounds like the title of a Star Wars trading card game.

I'd be really surprised if there's any mention of Midichlorians in these new films. That's one of those things from the prequels that we are all just better off pretending never happened.

Technically, shouldn't it be "The Force Re-Awakens"?

I guess its better than "Ewoks vs Jar-Jar"

No Jar-Jar but Warwick Davis will be reprising his role as Wicket.
