I think this was explained about 50 pages back by Rian and the scenes that were cut.............and will hopefully be in the home release.

What I don't get - surely they met at the end of the last film (of camera) as he escorts her back to the base and then with her when they discover Luke's location and before she fly's off.

    I don’t get that either.

Just saw it again for the fourth time, this time without my six -year-old distracting me, and I thought it was a rewarding experience. It gets better every time I see it. I picked up a lot more of its subtleties this time around and thought that a lot of the nitpicky criticisms I've been reading are either unfair or unfounded.

I’ve seen it three times and had the same reaction. Liked it the first time, loved it the second time, loved it even more the third time.

Ha now I don't feel so bad...I'm actually looking forward to the blu ray and I still need to buy Rogue One.

Your link is for adjusted domestic, not 2017 worldwide or all-time worldwide. Apples and oranges. I'm not sure of its relevance to what I posted.

I didn't notice but you are still comparing apples and oranges too.

I made no comparisons in my original post. I just mentioned two facts and posted a link.

That's the point, your second fact is not really one. The Last Jedi is not really an all time worldwide top ten. It's not even in the Top 20 if you consider inflation. Not considering inflation is simply intellectual dishonesty from Hollywood and the medias. It allows the studios to claim every year that new records have been broken, which is not true.

    What a miserable failure...

Well, if you want to end all debate, what should really be counted is the number of tickets sold.

Even that can be up for debate, as there are more theaters and quicker, more convenient ways to buy tickets.

What isn’t open for debate is the fact that The Last Jedi has done very, very, VERY well.

He’s the subject of the new ongoing Poe Dameron comic. I think they’ll tie up some of these loose ends in the new canon books and comics.

Gave the movie another watch (my third). Opinion still hasnt changed. Has a many cool minutes and situations. I like many of the movies story arcs (Rey and Kylos deepening connection, Lukes story direction etc..) But I still hold that the faults many, including myself, find with The Last Jedi are pretty bad.

And just because someone isnt on board and raising green and white lightsabers in the air cheeringly in shouts of approval concerning their opinion of it, doesnt mean they are some Star Wars fanboy that is screaming and kicking their feet.

There are many legitimate arguements as to why folks dont like this movie.

Reading some of the posts that make fun of those who disagree and label anyone who doesnt like the movie as whinny titty babies really reflects that image on the ones who are posting as kind of childish themselves.

End the Fed and that problem's solved.

P.S.: Shippers killed the X-Files; don't encourage the same with Star Wars.

By this metric Taylor Swift had the best album of 2017.

Shippers? Apologies, but what does this mean?
@bferr1 didnt claim that the best film is the one that sells the most tickets.

Reputation isn't even in the top 10 when it comes to 2017 sales. Ed Sheeran's album Divide was the biggest album of 2017.

She needs to go back to making country albums. Clearly the 'fans' are not happy with this direction.

I mean if she can only make number 12 of total sales for the year then it's time to change, you can't have Ed Sheeran beating you with no less than 2 albums or something.

Isn't this thread about Star Wars? Star Wars! It was good!
