"Saturday in the Park" Chicago (I think it was the 4th of July...)

Or for something completely different, Laurie Anderson, "Another Day in America"

I like to play American music on the Fourth, which means none of those yucky British Invasion bands like the Beatles. And since this is July 4th in OREGON, I'll be playing Holy Modal Rounders and Basement Tapes. We all have our methods of saluting Old Glory.

    A little self-promotion here.

I play the bass on this tune by Danish artist Esben Kronborg.
The title is simply '4th Of July', and is a european critical view on american conditions.
The track was released in 2014 on our debut album 'Trumpets', were I also played bass.

What better than a song with the Declaration of Independence as the lyrics (By a band from England)!

Or... a song with the Star Spangled Banner as the lyrics (by an American band by way of England).

Bouncy in a mellow way... :)
