Any idea how to identify which one you have?

Based on the discussion I had on Discogs with someone who has the GZ, their copy has the catalogue number "PURE 19LP" on the back and spine of the jacket whilst my copy (MPO) has the catalogue number "Pure19LPX" in both locations.

Not sure if it's ended up GZ copies for US, MPO for UK/Europe.

Mine is the same as yours - Pure19LPX.
Matrix is etched with TK. BQ, CALYX ‘18 and MPO18 26533.
I don’t suppose you had any surface noise at the start of side 2? As I said above, both copies had noise in exactly the same place.

I don’t recall hearing any but will check later.

Yeah, sure but for 90's vinyl that's quite ok. There are many titles well above £100!

Just listened to it again, I noticed a little noise during the run in (before any music) but that was it.

Thanks :righton:. It’s no big thing - just kinda weird!

Here’s hoping we get the whole run of albums!

I got mine from Sister Ray in Soho for £16.99 each. That's a good price for vinyl these days.
They are MPOs. Unfortunately the shrinkwrap was already opened by the shop and they don't have any download cards inside. Looking forward to playing these.
I didn't get poly-lined inners like someone mentioned up-thread - just basic white paper.

That’s a nice store: I visit every time I’m in London.

Clear vinyl Peng sounds quite good.

My copy purchased in the US is in a poly lined inner, appears to be pressed at GZ, and is sans download.

My clear vinyl GZ copy has an off center side 2. I can't hear it thankfully. Will try to compare to my original to see if I can hear a difference.

I received 'The Groop Played...' (Pure19LPX) today. I have always neglected this release having underrated it I think - rarely taken out the CD to listen. Now, having listened through, I'm re-appreciating it - enjoying Avant Garde M.O.R. right now. The whole package looks great and sounds good to me. Since I have never seen the original LP release I can't say whether the centre labels are the same but I imagine they are. The liner notes are actually really interesting - as someone has mentioned, remarks by Tim Gane regarding the various tracks.

Various - but not many - Stereolab vinyl sightings in Utrecht, especially notable a sealed UK original copy of "Cobra" for a moderate 50€. And an unsealed UK of "Margarine Eclipse" for 135€.

I've got zero idea why anyone would put up a record on their wall asking almost twice the medium Discogs price - in a hall full of people with smartphones! - but it does happen. :help:
But that sealed "Cobra" - different seller - seemed like a good deal.

The only release, I saw multiple copies of was "Refried Electroplasm", both 40€ each on black vinyl. 1995 originals of course.

Hey US/Beggars buyers, just a heads up from the Sterolab boards

Beggars is hoping to receive a UK shipment by the weeks end and start shipping them out to US buyers. FYI, you'll need to provide proof of purchase.

Interesting. Bought mine at Amoeba Hollywood and as far as I can tell it's the new version, didn't notice a sticker the sleeve or anything. Wonder if this was a regional thing

I assume he meant the marketing sticker on the plastic wrap. Mine does not have CALYX ‘18 in the deadwax, so thats the 2008 pressing, correct?

I'll have to check mine. It sounded great and was dead quiet so I only assumed it was the new one

Me too. I'm happy with mine, so I'm gonna pretend I never saw that post.

Proof of purchase... I bough mine (PureLP11 no x...) at my local and threw away the paper receipt(that only shows prices anyway). There is no way I'm going through hoops trying to "prove" I bought this for a replacement...

Man, I'm excited for these reissues and to see a Stereolab discussion going on.

I don't think it's their best album, but Sound-Dust has a some of my favorite Stereolab songs (Captain Easychord being one of them).

I also noticed I only own one of their albums. Time to start filling some empty spaces :righton:

Right on. I'll gladly take anything from their discography.

Also, I like your avatar pic. I love Broadcast.
