Steve's Analogue Productions Blue Note SACD/CD Sound Quality Discussion Thread

    Tonight I listened to 3 SACDs from this series:
    Dorham - Whistle Stop
    Hubbard- Hub-Tones
    Morgan- Sidewinder

    I put a +3dB treble boost on these on my integrated amp and it brought them to a new level of awesomeness. A significantly new level of awesomeness. I rarely enjoy f-ing with the EQ unless the mastering is a train wreck, which these aren't. These are already excellent w/o the boost. How would you interpret this? My equipment (OPPO-103, Creek Evolution 50A, PSB X2T), my 40+ yr old ears, or the aforementioned, uh, alleged issues with the SACD transfer? Have you tried playing with the treble on these?

    Picked this up used a few weeks ago and really enjoying it! Never had this album before, but it makes for a nice after work listen to unwind. And of course, superb mastering!
