I'm changing iMacs, and so will reload iPhoto. Or at least can do so from scratch. I'm looking for tips before I do that. Generally I have a) imported to iPhoto from the camera without deleting b) copied everything from the camera into a folder titled "downloaded 08012012" or whatever the date is. That folder goes on a backup drive. I do that for two reasons: - On a Windows machine, I can easily look in the folder with the filmstrip or whatever it's called - I just HATE how iPhoto sticks the pictures in a bunch of folders with cryptic names in some senseless scheme. How the heck is THAT mess organized, anyway? I often want to look at pictures around a certain date, and pick out a certain one to copy, and this doesn't help. Yes, I don't really know what I'm doing and should probably become more expert in iPhoto. Yes, they may (I hope) have changed iPhoto. A friend told me at one point that you could stick your pictures in folders, and have iPhoto import them and leave the folders alone. Is that so? any other iPhoto tips-not just for importing-welcome!
