    Tough choice... I'm gonna cheat and say that with pink Floyd it would be apples and oranges. Xtc (or the Dukes of stratosphere) Starts here. Solo I would have to say terrapin. If only he had kept writing...

    There's a version on the Opel album - called 'Wouldn't You Miss Me (Dark Globe)' - where he sings in a lower register. Equally haunting.

    Some of the stuff is really hard to listen to. He can't really communicate to the other musicians. There's a book called the making of the madcap laughs that was written by the engineer. Its supposed to be awesome because it talks about Syd as well as the beauty of the songs. Its impossible to find though
